"New literati" is committed to creating space design with the charm of both the East and the West.
Using western ergonomics and eastern spiritual interpretation of the taste of life, the two theories blend, to create the most suitable living aesthetic space for Chinese people, and interpret the connotation of the eastern elite class.
Zhang Xiulin, a famous poet, writer and critic, defined “literati” as follows in his article ‘On Literati’, “Literati are people who pursue an independent personality and independent values, describing and studying society and human nature. “New literati” aims to explore and study the space environment most suitable for current Chinese people. On the one hand, we can’t go back to the ancient life, and imitate the living space structure and corresponding furnishings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties again, nor should we blindly copy the design concepts of European and American spaces. The difference in social structure and lifestyle leads to the fact that the space, in terms of size, proportion, color and material, is not suitable for Chinese people’s daily lives, work, and leisure. “New literati” is committed to creating space designs with the charm of the East and the West. Using western ergonomics and eastern spiritual interpretations of aesthetics, the two theories blend, to create the most suitable living aesthetic space for Chinese people, and interpret the connotation of the eastern elite class. The “new literati” focuses on human senses and feelings; its design language respects humanity as well as nature. The design inspiration is extracted naturally from the landscape, integrating the consciousness of humanity, aesthetics, and ecology. It has produced and developed fruits that unleash the potential of humanity, and embodies the dual civilization of the human spirit and material life.

As to aroma, incense conforms to the solar terms of heaven and earth, bestowing a unique breath on different private spaces. As to taste, its purpose includes the kitchen to receive it, a space solution that Wei Yu assigns to a different category.
The excellent traditional Chinese culture has nurtured the cultural confidence of contemporary China. In the 21st century, Chinese people’s aesthetic appreciation has developed into “new literati” who respect culture and follow nature.
